The region of Soule :

A land of solidarity, Soule (or Xiberoa in Basque) is a unique region of rich cultural heritage, its own age-old language, and an identity forged of tradition and hospitality.
Soule is in the heart of the Basque country, and thanks to its ancestral tradition of shepherding, offers an exceptionally preserved natural environment. From the mountains to the plain, with 35 municipalities, Soule offers a wide variety of cultural events (masquerades, the pastorale) and leisure activities (hiking, VTT, fishing, ...).

Holzarte Gorges:
Spectacular canyons plunging in places to a depth of 200 metres. Impressive footbridge spanning the gorge, 180 metres in the air. Two hours walking, roundtrip.

Pista Waterfall:
A few kilometres from the hotel, you can drive to the starting point for this beautiful walk (one of my favourites). A trail leads you near to the hut at the foot of the waterfall (3 hours walking, roundtrip).

Peak of Orhy (2017 m):
A lovely hike with various access points. Photo taken from Arratzolatze Pass.

Organbideska Orinthological Site:
Observe migrating birds here from mid-July to mid-November.

Iraty forest:
In any season, take a walk through the largest beech forest in Europe.

Kakouetta Gorges:
A footpath into the breathtaking canyons, through lush vegetation.

La Verna cavern:
Exceptional archaeological site. Venture into the entrails of the Earth.
